The Observación de las Estrellas invites you to observe the firmament, aided by a wide-ranging telescope, in the unique conditions that Tenerife has to offer. The island (28 degrees latitude) is the place in Europe where one can see a great number of heavenly stars, among them the famous globular cluster Omega Centauri.
The exceptional climate of Tenerife means that it is ideal for astronomic study. At the same time, the island provides a dark sky, with hardly any artificial light pollution; it is not surprising that it is the base for one of the most important solar observatories in the world.
The observatory takes small groups (a maximum of eight), each with an expert guide and illustrated information on the screens of portable PCs.
Familiarise yourself with the fascinating world of astronomy in Tenerife, the best that there is.
