El Lance lookout point

You will find it on the road that takes you down from Icod el Alto to Los Realejos. It features amenities such as a café and a terrace for you to take a well-deserved break and enjoy the view. This lookout point overlooks the lovely Orotava valley and its three municipalities: La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz and Los Realejos

A huge bronze sculpture of one of the kings of the Guanche people known as Mencey Bentor, presides soberly over the viewpoint. He refused to be captured by the Spanish troops who conquered the Island and chose to jump into oblivion from this spot. He is a symbol of courage and stands proudly in a privileged location with a great view.
